Re: Multilingual room and corrections
I think that this is more in France, not in the other french-speaking countries.

Re: Multilingual room and corrections
Anyone is free to correct me until their patience runs out. Even in English!
Personally, my default course of action is not to give corrections unless the person has at least mentioned wanting them. I don't want to kill someone's confidence inadvertently.
Also, if the person mentions wanting corrections by private message rather than publicly, I will respect that. I can understand the desire not to have the thread of the conversation broken by a bunch of red ink (or pixels) and grammar explanations!

I agree, I am one for following each fellow learner's wishes. Fortunately, many people tell us directly which approach they prefer.
As far as I am concerned, corrections are extremely welcome, please dissect my posts whenever you encounter a reason to!

We could have an extension for making corrections (public or private) of posts so that you have to toggle a little icon to view them, to be used whenever you want to give someone a thorough correction as opposed to something that can be mentioned by the way in your next post.

Re: Multilingual room and corrections
Now I'm imagining writing something like the corrections to my Spanish blog posts but for the forum...
