Repetitive post: This morning, I received several Emails from Simon & Schuster announcing their offer of the Pimsleur Premium courses at a 50% discount. This sale ends at midnight, 13 August 2018.

It is not clear to me whether this sale is open to past customers only.

My suggestion to anyone who is not a past customer, who wishes to avail themselves of these discounts, would be that they try to negotiate with Simon & Schuster. For example, one could request that the discount be applied to their purchase. If this does not work, perhaps an agreement could be reached whereby one would purchase something of lesser value now with the written understanding that they would receive Pimsleur's offer of a 50% discount the next time that the publisher makes this offer which would likely be in about three months. Good luck with your negotiations!

Ah, good question! :D. It's a language learning software made up of videos with text. Ranges from beginner 1 to advanced 2.

https://www.fluentu.com/

It's online and on iOS. They're still working on getting it to Android.

Not a language program per se, but I have used MHZ Choice to be able to stream French (and other European) mysteries, dramas and comedies - particularly during my last Super Challenge. As an example, MHZ Choice's catalog includes Engrenages, Un Village Français, Kabul Kitchen, and many Scandinavian, German, Italian, etc programs. The current special provides a free 30 day trial period (if not previously subscribed) plus 1/2 off the first month using the code SUMMER18 (expires Aug 30). MHZ Choice is available for US and Canada. For more information and to see the full catalog of programs, click here for more info.

Du Chinese 30% off back to school..

Postby 80Percent » Mon Aug 27, 2018 2:06 pm

Hola. I was patiently waiting for black friday to get a reader app but this one came early:

DuChinese reader app 30% off
https://www.duchinese.net/back_to_schoo ... _fall_2018

Ends up being $63 for the year or about $40 for 6 months. (vs 90/60)

Out of the 3 of the most popular Chinese reader apps (Chairman Bao, Du Chinese & Decipher) this is my fave.

Valid until Sept 10th

Repeat of Repetitive Post
Yah, I know, you all think that I'm "on the take" from Pimsleur, that I receive something of value in exchange for posting their repetitive sales announcements. Well, actually, I do! The very thought that I might be helping someone by sharing this information gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Okay, it's not all over and it is rather fleeting but, at my age, well ...

Acupuncture (Apply Pressure)
Now then, it is pretty clear that this offer applies to returning customers only. So, if you are interested in taking advantage of this sale, I suggest that you harass them mightily. You know: "Hey, Pimsleur, you want my business? You want me to become a 'Valued Customer'? How about showing me a little respect? Give me the deal that you've offered Speakeasy and I might, I just might, do business with you."

Tick-tock, Tick-tock (Click-clack, Click-clack)
Oh, by the way, Simon & Schuster's offer expires at midnight, 21 September 2018.
