I love this
As a complete newcomer to languages I hadn’t thought of this I’m 7 months in to learning Spanish and I’m starting to come across this more and more , but just in single instances here and there , I will check out the end of Fsi , but does anyone know anywhere else l would come across this type of thing explained specifically for Spanish ?

Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish is famous for using this approach. It's a really old book, but still widely available because people love it (although I've never used it).

My level of vocabulary is this
16876 according to this
https://t.co/UVnFjPqaUe
but would never rate my level higher than c1 because I always fail in some fine grammatical distinction of subjuntivo pretérito which cervantes or others test. Same goes for segunda persona pl, we have voseo instead.
Did I ever use lists? nope. Cards? nope. Any other method? no. I listened, talked, was corrected. Again and again and again. I remember the name of car parts or tools related to their purpose in a car, not to another language.
I read and write. At work, I research words all the time. Civil engineering is what I dread most, apart from legal texts.
Maybe these methods work for some or many. I simply prefer to read a book. If Ildefonso Falcones confronts me with a medieval garment, I look it up if I'm curious. If not, I pass. Either way, I will remember it is a medieval garment.
