When it irritates you that the articles in Wikipedia in Afrikaans about particle physics aren't as long and detailed as those in the English version.

When you pause your music, take out your headphones, and move closer to the window to listen in to the gardeners across the street speaking in an indigenous language you don't understand.

Languages I'm learning but not focusing on: Afrikaans, Polish, Finnish Turkish, Spanish, Swedish, Catalan, Hungarian, Russian.
Just for fun I sometimes learn a little of: Hindi, Japanese, Indonesian, Georgian, Thai etc.

I don't know how I missed it, but I just saw this post. I gave up on reading Wikipedia articles in Afrikaans a few years ago because many articles in Afrikaans are very short.
