Incorrecto: pondelre aguacate.
Correcto: ponle aguacate

Amazing lecture, many years ago, before going to bed, I would read a few pages of this classic book. I enjoy it so much.
My father had it on 8 volumes with annotated comments by the editors.

I have that same edition. It's great, it's got a nice introduction, a decent bit of notes and a glossary in the back explaining archaisms. I quite like it, although my Castilian is nowhere near good enough to read it yet.

Next week (October 23rd) a new edition of Tandem-MOOC, an English/Spanish conversation course offered by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, will begin. It is a great course, albeit with a tricky user interface. Check it out. It is not necessary to do the entire course and you could start late without problems. It is a great opportunity to practice speaking in Spanish.

http://mooc.speakapps.org/

In previous years the Tandem-MOOC platform used Adobe Flash and I don’t know if they have updated their system yet. If they haven’t, you should be aware that you will need to authorize the use of the Flash plugin everytime you start a session. If you decide to participate, don’t give up if you have trouble with your first couple of attempts to connect with a partner. It is much easier once you know what to do.
