I'll let the others ID themselves, but I'm the one in the pineapple shirt.

Wow. How fun. I tried to guess everybody, and my score was 0 / 5.

Watched Burnt by the Sun today with one of my work colleagues who is interested in Russia. Forgotten how good that movie is. If you haven't seen it, I really must recommend it. The young lady who plays Nadya is so stinking cute...

Italian progresses. Will finish Pimsleur I tomorrow morning on the walk to the train, then on to Pimsleur II. Got to speak with the high school Italian teacher this afternoon, which is always nice practice. She is so perfect, never breaking out of the Italian. Although today we had something I had to discuss for the purpose of the swim meet, so she understood that I couldn't speak about it in Italian. She allowed the English, then immediately went back to Italian, which I need.

In other news, almost done with Kiuj semas plorante... Really liking it. One of my favorite subjects is language politics, in particular the discrimination against Esperanto, especially in Stalin's Soviet Union and Hitler's Nazi Germany. This book is set in the late 1930's, so right there at that time. I'll finish it this week. Then some English reading for a while. I've set a goal of 70 books in 2019 (see my Goodreads). I'm at 53 books so far. Need to catch up!
