Those with an interest in the farther reaches of the Turkic language family but lacking in Russian might be interested in this:
A blogger by the name of Justin Smith has translated/adapted the first part of L. N. Kharitonov's Soviet-era Самоучитель якутского языка for English-speakers, including the key to the exercises, and posted it online here:

He's evidently still working on the rest of the book, which hopefully will appear eventually.

Re: Instructional materials for Sakha (Yakut)
Further to this earlier post, Mr. Smith recently completed his translation of the Kharitonov textbook; the complete volume is available here:
https://www.jehsmith.com/files/sakha-080120.pdf
The solutions to the exercises in the book are here:
https://www.jehsmith.com/files/sakha-answers-080120.pdf
And the vocabulary is here:
https://www.jehsmith.com/files/sakha-di ... 100120.pdf
For those who DO know Russian, and would like to hear the language spoken, some fairly extensive audio, with explanations in Russian, to "Мин сахалыы билэбин (Я говорю по-якутски)" is available here, but I haven't been able to find the text of this, if it exists:
