If you include the word yesterday somewhere in your tweet, it will count for the previous day:

Code: Select all

@6wcbot 15 min #finnish #book yesterday
Don't write #yesterday unless you want to use it as a tag for your activity.

Halfway:

I'm appreciating the attitude I've developed for Setswana (not target). It's become a pleasure to focus on this.
Hebrew (target) is struggling a bit, as I am frustrated at the low "stickiness" of the language. For the challenge, I've added some TV series and films which i wouldn't normally do at this stage - it's both good and bad. It's certainly more exposure but I might have spent some of that time actually studying learning material. Overall, I'm satisfied with the challenge so far.

I think I end up doing far less studying during the 6WC than otherwise. So this will probably be the last one for me, at least for a while. It worked much better when I was just studying one language and was at a low level, but now most of my efforts go to languages at a higher level rather than my target language. Also, it seems when I push myself to do more, I end up doing less. I need my lazy time in order to relax and assimilate the language. When I try to reduce that time, I learn less and after a few weeks, start to rebel and study even less.

Halfway update: I've studied for 30h37 in 3 weeks! Currently in 4th place, and have been bouncing around between 3rd and 5th.

My biggest chunks of time so far have been Pimsleur and reading, each about 1/3 of my total study time. In Pimsleur, I've gotten up to halfway through French level 2. I just might be able to finish the level by the end of the challenge!

I feel like I've been making great progress, especially with my reading.

I did well for the first...Three weeks. :lol: I knew I should have taken a screen shot when I (momentarily) held 1st place, as I knew it wouldn't last (and I was right).

I don't think I'm so much burned out on Japanese, as much as being burned out on keeping track of my times. I was also reluctant to study for mere snippets of time, as I couldn't quantify these for the challenge. So for now, I will throw in the towel.

Hi guys. I'm making a competitor to Sprachprofi's 6WCBot, tuned in a different way. I made a thread with a poll about its duration and would appreciate your input.

Anyone else having trouble with the bot tonight? It’s not accepting my tweets. I tried rewording one of them and it still didn’t accept it. Has anyone else tried to tweet anything in the last few hours?
