The coffee is added in by medicine dropper at the end.
That's how Americans drink their coffee if we want to be honest.

I read the above to my coffee-snob (she'd say coffee connoisseur) wife and her response, after laughing, was: Yep, and it should come with a pair of sweatpants. ;)

Update on life.. I have successfully become, more or less, homeless as planned. I've traveled from Alaska to DC, to Florida, and I'll go back to DC for the weekend and probably every other weekend until we buy a house.

I've been talking a lot of French, Snapchat-ing a lot of French, that's more of less it. I should get back into a routine by the next week hopefully.

I had to write out a story last night that was fairly complicated, about 800 words. I never really write that much at once in French and I found it reasonably difficult to organise my thoughts, so I was thinking I should really do that more often.

Good luck house hunting, Ani! :)

And I'm sure you know about DC's Alliance Française already, but they do lots of cool events.

Couldn't you build a swiss family robinson style tree-house in the Smokey Mountains instead? You could have goats, and llamas; think of the knitting wool market!

I could do that, if I didn't mind a painful death by tick-borne illness :-/ ... I have always wanted a tree house. It's highly likely that our next stop will be much more habitable.
Two years on the metro will be good for the kids. They literally don't know how to walk on a sidewalk and needed all sorts of instructions in basic life situations this week...

I hear there be foxes in those parts. You only had to worry about bears in Alaska. And moose.. meese?

Everyone knows meese is the plural of mice..
The fox & rabbit took an unanticipated turn so I'll just say if you're ever in DC, PM me and we'll get coffee :-p
Alaska does actually have fox.. fun fact: they smell like skunk, only horribler. ;)
