And I'm sure you know about DC's Alliance Française already, but they do lots of cool
events.
Thank you!! Yeah I'm so excited to have all that around us. I can't wait to check it their events!

Couldn't you build a swiss family robinson style tree-house in the Smokey Mountains instead? You could have goats, and llamas; think of the knitting wool market!
I could do that, if I didn't mind a painful death by tick-borne illness :-/ ... I have always wanted a tree house. It's highly likely that our next stop will be much more habitable.
Two years on the metro will be good for the kids. They literally don't know how to walk on a sidewalk and needed all sorts of instructions in basic life situations this week...

I hear there be foxes in those parts. You only had to worry about bears in Alaska. And moose.. meese?
Everyone knows meese is the plural of mice..
The fox & rabbit took an unanticipated turn so I'll just say if you're ever in DC, PM me and we'll get coffee :-p
Alaska does actually have fox.. fun fact: they smell like skunk, only horribler.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
