Re: 6WC 6 Week Challenge - Nov 2018
This is only the second time I have participated in the 6WC, so I am trying not to be too hard on myself. But I am rather annoyed that I didn't really think through my tags before I started.

Re: 6WC 6 Week Challenge - Nov 2018
A week into the challenge, I've done:
- 4 h 27 minutes in my target language (Sami). I'm reasonably happy with this, mostly because it means I'm now working on it every day.
- 29 h 28 minutes in total. Over 80% of this is French, which I am very motivated for at the moment. Sami is at around 15%, and Icelandic at 3%. If I can keep my pie chart like that for the rest of the challenge, I'll be very satisfied! Of course, I want to increase the hours as well. 150-160 hours is a normal score for me in total for the 6WC, so I seem to be on track so far. But I have exams coming up at the end of the challenge, and they don't involve language learning, so the numbers may drop as they approach.

Re: 6WC 6 Week Challenge - Nov 2018
I've had a much stronger start on this 6WC (my third). Maybe it's because I'm doing an Indo-European language for the first time in a while, maybe it's because I'm so excited that my Polish is coming back from its hibernation.
Here's what I sound like when I'm reading textbook dialogues aloud on the metro. I'm speaking very quietly and I've got the mic right next to my mouth so I don't think I'm bothering others too much. In any case in China it's not considered rude to have phone calls on the subway.
Definitely tripped over some words and flat out mispronounced pokój. I also had a tendency (stronger on other recordings) to swallow a final p, t, or k as one does in Indonesian. On the whole though I'm already pleased with my ability to read things aloud with a little practice. Perhaps I'll record some spontaneous speech this weekend.

Re: 6WC 6 Week Challenge - Nov 2018
Week 1: Nov 1-7, Modern Greek
Total time: 285 minutes, 4.75 hours.
My goal for the second week is to get 6 hours of study. I've started practicing with some simple flashcards on Quizlet to increase my vocabulary, which should be a good way to add some extra time. I've decreased intensive grammar study because it was getting too overwhelming, and I think that was a good call.

The bot doesn't register my tweets in 13 Nov. I copied others tweet which is successful, but mine still couldn't get through. Did I tweet it wrongly?
E.g. of my last tweet
@6WCBot last try baby please #Chinese 124 minutes
My twitter handle is @dewa_amir

I had the same thing last week. My advice would be to wait a day or few hours and try again.
As for my progress, I've logged a bit more than 15 hours. But am getting quite busy with school so don't think I will have that much time to spend on language learning Am spending my next few days in the library writing papers... Last time I had to write a paper I was in the libaray from 10 AM to 10 PM, for several days X_x. And I have 4 papers I really want to finish this month so yeah

Week 2: Nov 8-14, Modern Greek
Total time: 420 minutes (7 hours)
I'm happy that I met and exceeded my goals to study 6 hours of Greek this week. I'd like to see my numbers improve even more, so I'm setting a goal to study 500 minutes of Greek this week (8 hours, 20 minutes).

The bot stopped registering my tweets on Nov 14. My twitter is @ElsaMaria582. Any suggestions? Thanks!
