Re: East Asian Study Group
So I am preparing for the next Super Challenge which I heard would be held about next month. Since my target languages are Arabic and Japanese, I want to watch some Japanese anime with Arabic subtitles. Can any of you give some links to download them for free? I heard from my friend who is a Japanese literature graduate that some of them are available on YouTube but with the keywords written in Arabic script. So if, say, I want to watch Digimon with Arabic subtitle on YouTube, what keywords should I use (in Arabic script)?

I'd also like to join this group. At the moment I'm learning Korean but I want to learn Japanese as well after I'm more comfortable with Korean.

Oh no, I'm back!
I got back to work and my study completely dropped.
I actually completed the January challenge but didn't track it. Today I'm setting up my weekly, monthly, and yearly goals. I think I can still attain a functional level of Cantonese by the end of the year!

Haha, I think a lot of working adults have this problem. Can't be helped right?
Actually, I was thinking that maybe we could do another vocab or grammar challenge with this group. We could track the amount of words or newly learned grammar in a certain amount of weeks.
Or maybe a readong challenge of a sorts? Like, reading a piece of online text together and then just discuss it in this group?

I'd love to do another challenge. Perhaps it could have a couple of levels? I'm still on the "inhaling vocabulary" stage so I'm aiming to learn 150 characters this month, and about 200 each month after that. By the end of the year I should have a pretty good range.

Yeah, maybe we could have different articles for different levels and then read them and write a summary + learned words and grammar here?
If more people want to do this than maybe we could start a topic or discord or something for it.

Re: East Asian Study Group
My goal this month is to learn all 200+ bushuu (or kanji radicals). I'm guessing I made it up to 50-60 over the past few months, and I want to get it done.
Anyone else have goals for July?

Not for July, but to have learned 2000 words by the end of this summer and made progress with reading in Korean. Going slowly right now since I'm prioritising studying for uni but I will have my summer break soon so should have more time then.
