Last Sunday I came back from my trip to Korea. Needless to say, I didn't study while I was there and neither did I have that many opportunities to talk in Korean. Whenever I would talk with cashiers, baristas, servers, shop assistants I would only talk in Korean but one fact that annoyed me a little bit was when the majority of them would respond to me in English. It was funny and irritating at the same time but overall my experience was great. I did have some long talks with old people, which was nice, and also when I was in Busan I learned some Busan dialect (사투리) from an old man (아저씨).
Like the resource hoarder that I am, I bought some new books to further help me in my Korean studies but this week I've been jet-lagged and I procrastinated (good excuse!!!). The only thing that I did was read 5 articles from 'News in Korean' and add the unknown words in anki.
Next week I will start my new job but I also plan to get back on schedule with my studies. I will need to make a plan and include the new books as well.

Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
My Yonsei Reading also arrived today!
How much time do you take to finish one chapter? And do the stories get progressively more difficult or can I just pick out a chapter to read at random?
Whenever I see your schedule I always feel so lazy haha, you really do a lot every week!

From what I've noticed, the chapters do rely on some words from the previous chapters but you won't have any issues reading them randomly.
It takes me about 25 minutes to 40 minutes to finish a chapter but you can probably finish it in 10 - 15 minutes if you don't transcribe and repeat after the audio.

It looks like a lot but this schedule is quite light. You'll see once you start reading the stories from Yonsei Reading.

Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
It's been a long time since I last updated my log. I did lurk and read the posts but I was too apathetic to update my own. Getting a new job and moving to another city was a bit hard for me because now I feel lonelier than ever. Nevertheless, I did study Korean because it gives me a bit of happiness and I also got even more determined because I joined the 6 week challenge. I must say I'm quite happy with my progress overall.
Looking back at my log I feel I need to start updating it again because it's nice for to see how I progress throughout the week but this time I will have a different approach. My plan is to update after the week has passed with what I covered in terms of listening, writing, reading, grammar etc. In the past having a set plan was a bit too stressful because sometimes I would have liked to do something different in that day.
I also started to learn French but I don't plan to spend that much time on it. Ideally I'd like to study French for 1h/day but if I manage to do even half an hour I'm happy.

Re: Bunnychu's log (Korean & French)
I wanted to study more but I'm exhausted. It's my first time attempting a Topik test but I think I'll try after the 6 week challenge and see how I fare.
