I'm a speaker and attending the full thing. You'll notice me - if you don't, blame your eyesight. :D

Polyglot Conference Bratislava 2018

Postby drp9341 » Fri May 04, 2018 3:52 pm

Hello everyone! I will be going to the polyglot conference in Bratislava this June. I was searching through the forums looking to see if there was a thread where people could talk about it, and maybe we could have a "meet up."

If anyone is going, and would like to hang out or meet while there, post in the thread! (and then send a PM) but post in the thread first, so that other people know that people are coming :)

See yous soon!

You for sure meant the Polyglot Gathering. (The polyglot conference 2018 is in October in Ljubljana.) There is a thread here. Some people will meet already in Vienna beforehand if I remember correctly.

I will be arriving on the 28th along with Rdearman, Zenmonkey and Daveprine. I’m sure we will manage to meet up. We all hung out a bit last year.

If you guys are interested, PM me and let's create a whatsapp group. I don't know what anyone looks like enough to recognize them in a crowd that size.

That's an idea, yeah. Although I think most of us will recognize each other. And I've met a fair few people from the conference anyway.

But in general I think most people will easily find me as:

a) I'm a speaker
b) I'm very tall (1m95) and stand out enormously in a crowd
c) I'm trans, so due to my dress and looks I will stand out anyway.
d) I'm a familiar figure to a bunch of the crowd
