We covered Greetings - Chapter 2 & 3 from the Peace Corps documents and recordings.
Next we'll cover Lesson 4 & 6 (5 is vocab. and probably not ideal for the setting...)

Just so for everyone who reads the log, but might not participate in the groups calls, we set ourselves a homework assignment to find new setswana resources. Media, books, lessons, whatever we can find. Then post the results here for everyone to share.

The group call is very good! While none of us are 100% sure of pronunciation we are sharing what we do know and learning from the others.

If your thinking about joining us there will be another group call (Google hangouts) and you're welcome to join in!

Oh and as predicted in my log, vonPeterhof was way better than me and showed me up. Also Brun Ugle is way better too. I'm ashamed because I started before them!!

Here is a resource with the flash lessons including the sound:

http://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/ ... n-Language

Be warned, each flash page takes a long time to load.

And an early book on the grammar. 12 pages long!

And (in French) Etudes sur la langue Sechuana ... precedees d'un introduction sur l'origine et les progres de la mission chez les Bassoutos
