Any other takers for Basque this year? I'll be happy to help you find resources, give suggestions based off my own studies and (limited) experience, etc. I'm also working on a few tools to help myself and some friends learn Basque, and could use some more motivation to actually get around to writing them
If i can't convince anyone else to join me in learning Basque, how about a group for students of the various regional languages of the Iberian Peninsula?

Re: Basque Group 2017
I've learned the basics of Basque, although it has always been a kind of on-and-off thing for me. There were moments where I'd really get into it but for whatever reason I couldn't maintain motivation. I'll definitely pay attention to any pointers, resources, or especially native media you post - maybe that'll help me get some motivation back.
As a start, here's a cool song with (very clear) lyrics in the video (easy to sing along to!):

Count me in, even if I'm not studying it as seriously as some of my other languages.

Re: Basque Group 2017
Great! It's really great to see so many folks interested in Basque! I'm not sure what we've got to do to make it official, but i think we've got more than enough people to start a team
I'm also aiming for B2 this year, i'm planning on spending my summer vacation in the Basque Country and have started on a few tools to help me learn, as my dream is to make learning Basque easier and more fun... so we'll see. And still pushing for the Duolingo Basque course.
An online Basque friend sent this song to me the other day, saying it was currently pretty popular over there:
EDIT:
I'm more of a hip-hop/punk fan myself:
Norte Apache - Nire aitaren etxea
M.A.K. - Denok ala inor ez
Yaw - Malda (it's the whole album, couldn't find individual songs on Youtube, sorry)
Negu Gorriak - Esan ozenki
And i'm also a big fan of a lot of Urko's stuff:
Gure lagunei
and the song we can all sing along to... Lehenengo ikasgaia!

Re: Basque Group 2017
Just came across this site:
Aprende euskera con tus hijos y los cuentos
The stories also have recordings and translations into Spanish
What resources are you all using? My main resources at the moment is The Basque Language: A Practical Introduction.

Re: Basque Group 2017
I'm using the ikasten site (http://www.hiru.eus/e-ikasi/idiomas/ikasten) and a Curso Gratuito de Euskara (by Gorka Bakero, I think it can be found at aprendereuskara.com, but it was emailed to me). I've only done through lessons one and three, respectively

Re: Basque Group 2017
The Ikasten site is wonderful for the material it offers, but it could really use an update. Gorka's course is great, too, but you get overwhelmed with verb forms near the end. I started updating the English version, fixing typos, adding better explanations here and there, and just making it a bit prettier. If anyone else was interested, i could work on finishing it up. I've only done the first six lessons.

Re: Basque Group 2017
I also use the ikasten course, just a bit after the half waypoint, but probably have gotten ahead of myself and need to do a solid revisement of everything so far - currently all my grammatical knowledge is one big entangled mess.
