Journal: Linguistische Treffen in WroclawAll numbers available in archive
The series "Linguistic Meetings in Wroclaw" has been conceived as an attempt to give readers the opportunity to gain an insight into thematically and methodologically different areas of modern Germanic linguistics. The broad spectrum of topics, motives, methods and, above all, the confrontational approaches that determine the research landscape of modern, interdisciplinary Germanics, allows us not only to determine the state of affairs, but also to outline the emerging trends and trends in modern linguistics. The individual volumes are assigned thematic priorities and are written in German.

I'm constantly searching the Internet for German-language documentaries, and the ones that meet my taste are often British, American and French productions that have been dubbed or voiced over. Every now and then, though, I'm lucky enough to find a documentary of German origin that combines riveting subject material with outstanding acting, sets and direction. I just watched three YouTube videos that I feel meet this criteria, and I thought somebody here might like them as much as I do. They're from a series called "Frauen die Geschichte machten", and each one deals with a different fascinating woman from history:
Elizabeth I

Is the cradle of mankind not in Africa, but in Europe?this is no nonsense, although the out-of-Africa crowd is strictly against it
subtitled in German and French, audio in German, excellent quality (there should also be French audio somewhere)
Is the cradle of mankind not in Africa, but in Europe? A 7.2 million year old lower jaw found in Athens shows pre-human characteristics, as does a tooth found in Bulgaria; on Crete, fossilized footprints indicate that a being walked upright here six million years ago, earlier than in Africa.

Leider nicht verfügbar in meinem Land.
Arte is an interesting TV channel. I think it is a cooperation between Germany and France, so they've always got audio in both languages.

Have you seen "Deutschland von oben"? Very interesting documentary on society and history.
Edit: And of course nature and landscape filmed from above.

That European origins doc covers what is old archaeology, from 2012 and 2017. We're talking about less than a handful of finds and no idea how they got there. Multiple points of separate evolution is a stretch enough, but this hypothesis is nothing like a challenge to African origins of homo sapiens. It excites the Herrenvolk though.
