Italian course(s) for kids
Can anyone recommend a good Italian course or two for children? My two daughters (6 and 11 years) are learning Italian at school. As I'm not very happy about their progress so far, I'm looking for a course or two that they can do at home. (No apps or online courses please, I don't want to increase their screen time )

Re: Italian study group
You might want to check the Italian resources thread. https://forum.language-learners.org/vie ... 19&t=2912/
There are some things there for children.
Children's Piccola Radio
http://www.radio3.rai.it/dl/portaleRadi ... 5e79a.html
The Little Prince
http://www.piccolaradio.rai.it/dl/porta ... c7cf8.html
There are some other things on YouTube like cartoons for children, but you don't want more screen time. So you might need to look at books:
https://www.ibs.it/libri/lingue-diziona ... ogia-c1453
and there was some stories for children here:

Re: Italian study group
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but Italophile has children's books with translations for Italian that opens in another window. Its a decent resource, especially if you want to practice reading side by side in English-Italian.
To see the Italian translation, you have to press the "Italian" button under the page image.

Re: Italian study group
I perused each page of this group and have a question. Pardon me if this came up here and I missed it: Anyone have any recommended easy readers? Titles? I'm thinking easy readers along the lines of:
I like how this series has the books divvied up by level (A, B, C, etc). I absolutely hate those dual readers...I always get distracted by the English side, so I prefer to just have a book with simplified language and the occasional footnote explaining in English a term or phrase. I like what I see in the preview on Amazon of the Easy Italian Reader by Saggese. Anyone use that? Like it?
Looking forward to starting my Italian journey!

Re: Italian study group
I've used those books to some extent (but not in Italian). The libraries here have them, and I have also collected second-hand copies over the years. They work pretty well as a bridge to unadapted literature.
Sometimes, they translate (German) vocabulary which is transparent to me as a Swedish speaker. I never do the exercises.

Re: Italian study group
One week into my study of Italian and I love it. The class is quite slow for my taste, but I'm adjusting my personal study so that I'm not bored by the pace. I intend on studying on my own during the summer (no classes then) so that I can go into the intermediate course in September. Based on what I'm seeing in this current class, I don't think the intermediate is a true intermediate. I'm sure I'll be ok. But only time will tell.
