Is 7 seasons enough? I loved the Mentalist in Italian.

Unable to use VPN with Amazon prime. Do they have the DVD in italiano?

Maybe I can open an amazone.it account and order it?

There surely are DVDs, but I have no clue.

For Amazon Prime here in Djibouti, I pause my VPN, reload the Amazon Prime page, start the movie or show, then when the VPN comes back on, the film still plays.

Maybe that'll work? If you're ok with your VPN being off for a minute or two?

You can download premade decks from the ankiweb site. Just search the premade decks for Italian.
https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks/

For subs2srs I made a 5 part series on how to do it.

Hey! I was actually just watching your videos! I've tried with 7 different movies/episodes and it hasn't worked once, it just doesn't format on my anki.

I looked on shared decks for any Subs2SRS but couldn't find any.

Back to the drawing board I guess. Thanks for taking the time to create the videos, they're really helpful even for someone as old as me!

Hi,

I don't study Italian, but I recently started working with an anki deck for Spanish verbs. The creator of that deck actually made an Italian one first. It's only verbs, but it's pretty much ALL the verb forms. The link for the Italian deck is here:
https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1891639832

He describes how he made the deck, why he suggests front-loading all the verb forms, and how he designed the prompts here:
http://www.asiteaboutnothing.net/w_ital ... cards.html

This may not be what you are looking for at this point in your studies. I'm impressed by the design, but I'm only a week in. He also has an interesting comparison of the relative difficulties of Italian and Spanish from the point of view of an English speaker:

http://www.asiteaboutnothing.net/w_ital ... anish.html

Hope you find some useful materials somewhere!

Any opinions about HP in italian. I already read all HP books in French and several vols in Polish. I wonder if knowing the story would be unbearable. Are they a good transitions to native reading material or should I skip them and jump in with my two feet into Dante's Universe?

If you are looking for some not too hard original books, that could replace the HP as an intermediate step, I'd recommend Licia Troisi. Fantasy for older kids, not extremely original, but still fun, well written, fulfilled the role for me.

But if you're very familiar with Dante and not afraid of a challenge, jump away, and report back, please. I haven't dared to face him yet, so I'm curious.
