It's not always predictable which things will be pronounced à l'anglaise or not. For example, in French "CIA" is /se.i.a/ (Frenchified) but "FBI" is /ɛf.bi.aj/ (English-ish).
Maybe the fact that GPT is a homophone with "j'ai pété" helps push things toward English-y pronunciation.
