A possible C1 French group is 'under development' If any French learners currently around the B2 level with an objective to reach C1 (or beyond) are interested in joining for the purpose of support and motivation (as opposed to time wasting for the hell of it), I'd like to hear from you. If enough are interested, I think it warrants a group. I doubt it would take anything from this great French group, as the idea is to bring together those on the great push to the C1 level. I'm thinking currently of keeping it to C1 but if there are those aiming for C2, then it's better to expand to include those learners too.

Okay the group will be called The French C1 Group, and that's what the core (idea) will be composed of. Essentially, it's for those aiming for C1 level in French who are currently aroud B2 (little higher, little lower is fine) and possibly are aiming to prove they've reach C1 by targeting an exam. This way support and ressources can be shared.

However, as rdearman has pointed out to me, we are an inclusive lot here on this form, so for those who are sub B2 or not now strictly aiming to reach C1 in a hurry, they are most certainly welcome and 100% included, but of course reaching C1 is the core idea.

I also subscribed to the new thread and would like to be included! :) Right now I'm working on C1 in Spanish, but I'm following pretty much the same plan for French on the side. Pretty much only passive skills so far, but those are part of the DALF C1 too :)

I've added you! :)

Btw tomgosse, the new group is by no means aiming to splinter this brilliant French group! If you have any problems with this new group, please contact me, anyone for that matter. The idea is it's a niche C1 exam group, the rest of anything French should remain here. And I encourage members of the new group to post regular French things here, unrelated to the C1 exam.
