I found out that the DELF exams use the word courriel for email, but I can't really say if I've come across the word before. Here's a little article (with a long URL) about it from a learning website:
https://www.thoughtco.com/le-courriel-vocabulary-1371793#:~:text=The%20answer%20is%20yes%2C%20in%20official%20documents.&text=The%20Acad%C3%A9mie%20Fran%C3%A7aise%20(French%20Academy,on%20the%20street%20uses%20it.

The TL;DR is that it is used for government business but otherwise people prefer to say "email" or "mél". Any thoughts?

I work with a number of Quebecois and they use “courriel” exclusively so I’m quite used to hearing it.

I use the word 'courriel' myself at times but do so so that my kids are aware of it. I thought it was one of those words the Québec language authority quickly whipped up and encouraged the use of in place of e-mail (phonetically [imel] or [imɛl]) which I figure is an anglicism. But, maybe the French invented 'courriel', I can't recall. I've also used 'courrier électronique', 'e-mail' as above, 'mail' and 'mél'.

According to one of my dictionaries, to send s.o. an e-mail, on dit : 'envoyer un message électronique à qn'. The same dictionary lists the other versions of e-mail as well specifically listing 'courrier électronique', 'messagerie électronique' and 'courriel' as the medium, while 'mél' would be found as a letterhead or on a business card.

I'm not necessarily convinced of the above specifics, I'd relax and keep an ear and an eye out for differences as you come across them and make a mental note as to context: geographical location, speaker or author's origins, audience and degree of formailty.

Courriel is used in official stuff or radio/tv : it's like "divulgâcher". You hear it on France-Inter but nowhere else in the country

On Arte, there is an excellent documentary in 3 parts about the reconstruction of Notre-Dame.
It's called Notre-Dame de Paris, le chantier du siècle (1st episode on YT, more to come and the 3 episodes on the Arte website).

I thought you might have been reposting the 3 part documentary linked on the previous page, but it has a different title. I suppose for the next few years we can expect a steady stream of reconstruction documentaries. I look forward to watching some of them!

I'm currently reading Chanson douce. There's a passage on p.25 that confuses me a little.
... C'est finalement la solution qu'ils ont choisie, après que Paul a affirmé : "En comptant les heures supplémentaires, la nounou et toi vous gagnerez à peu près la même chose. Mais enfin, si tu penses que ça peut t'épanouir ..." Elle a gardé de cet échange un goût amer. Elle en a voulu à Paul.

How would you translate the final sentence?
Elle en a voulu à Paul.

En vouloir à quelqu’un = to resent someone, feel angry or bitter toward them, especially for a particular thing they said or did.

So I would translate the last two sentences (not very literally) like:

The conversation left a bitter taste in her mouth. She resented Paul for it.
