Brun_Ugle, but I haven’t used Duolingo in ages. I tend to use it in short bursts and then get annoyed with it because it’s too slow and always wants me to review stuff I don’t need to review.

It's been a long time since I used Duoling for the last time. I've even deleted my German tree, because it changed so much.

ElsaMaria487986 is my user name.

I've been working on the Dutch tree using the pyramid method for gradually getting everything to five crowns. Since I make careless mistakes, I run out of hearts regularly. I do a practice round to get my hearts back.

I also have two trees that I am currently ignoring. I have a nearly complete tree for Danish (various crown levels) and a bit of the Spanish tree done.

I tend to use the pyramid approach as well.

I know from reading the Duolingo forums and from https://www.reddit.com/r/duolingo/ that some people face a "heart" system. I have never encountered that, except for when testing out of a particular skill. I don't know whether that is a function of only working through the web version rather than via an app, or just luck in terms avoiding hearts if those are a function of A/B testing.
