Looked (searched) through this thread. Was surprised to not find such a thread. So I'll start:

Here's a couple pictures. Guess where I am.

(No fair looking any of these things up on the internet.)

More pictures tomorrow.

I PMed IronMike so more people have a chance to guess. I'm reasonably confident in my answer :D

OK, so Rhian won with an immediately correct guess. Congrats Rhian! (Henkkles kinda gave it away!)

So here's the next one. N.B., that these pictures aren't necessarily recent.

I guess it is: Выборг (I don't sure how it spells in English - Viborg?) :)

There's a tip on the board:
....
освящен 13 октября 1868 года
Преосвященным Павлом
Епископом Выборгским

In fact, these lines are written with 'ъ' in the end of each words which ends with a consonant letter, but we don't write like this now.

Sorry everyone! I had my nose to the grindstone the last week prepping for my Esperanto test.

Ok, so the first location that Rhian got correct: Helsinki, Finland.

The second location, with the picture above of the inside cover of a book, is still available for guessing! Here's another few pictures for you:

Normally spelt as Vyborg in English :) (Viipuri in Finnish)
At the time both Helsinki and Vyborg were part of the Finnish autonomy in the Russian empire.
