I made decisions on trips based on the old program. I hope there are no conflicts!

Do those name tages also have languages written onto them? At no point during the registration did I enter languages I speak. I feel like I'm missing something.

edit: it's a nice gift that free public transport access they've given us.

Yeah, last year we got (iTalki) stickers with the language code and relevant flag/s.

They just sent an email to those registered with more information about the event and location. And it looks like our badges (name tags) can be used as bus tickets during the Gathering. I'll never be able to convince rdearman to walk anywhere now!

There's a lot more stuff on there now and times got changed around. They'll give us a printed version at the Gathering, but I think I might have to print it out anyway and start color-coding it by priority.

You will receive a blank name tag on Wednesday and can fill it in yourself. Last year there were stickers we could use, but not for every language. I don't know if they'll have stickers again, or if we'll just have to write the languages on by hand. Last year we put our LLorg user names on too so that we could find each other more easily.

If anyone still wants to go who hasn't registered, there's still space. It's also possible to get the old price if you mention the name of a friend who is already registered.

That's because everything is always less than a mile away.

That, I might be able to interest him in. Especially since I owe him a beer. I wonder how far I can get him to walk though before he decides it's not worth it. Beer is pretty cheap in Bratislava, so I'm guessing not far.

I'm visualising Rdearman wearing sandwich boards as he gives his talk...

Seriously. We often talk about Google ranking so I believe we want to be known. With Bratislava comes a real opportunity. How can we take advantage of it?

How about the good old word of mouth?

I don't know how many feel that they're participating as representatives of LLORG, or to what extent the site could/should be promoted. Personally, I don't have a stack of business cards/stickers, nor an official LLORG tshirt - hey, we don't even have a logotype or a slogan/tag line (yet!). (Next year? :) )

It's a hippie commune - we all sort of represent the site.
I'd suggest that those giving talks, if they would like to do so, close their talks with a reminder of the site and the URL.
