A rough translation of a poem by Grigory Oster, describing
an experience of a 3 year old child riding a tricycle inside of the family apartment:
-a version that is somewhat closer to the original:
If inside of your apartment you were racing on a bike,
When naively from the bathroom, Dad comes out for a stroll...
Don't detour into the kitchen – fridge is hard and unforgiving.
Break directly into father - Dad is soft and will forgive.
-a more appropriate English language version:
If at 3 years old you are racing on your trike in the apartment
And Dad strolls out from the bathroom
Don't detour into the kitchen
The fridge is hard and painful!
Crash straight into Dad - He is soft and fun.
