...OPERA, and Wagner in particular:
This year, Bayreuth Festival goes online.
In partnership with Deutsche Grammophon, they put online six+eight recordings from Bayreuth archives (by the latter "eight" I mean two different productions of Der Ring cycle).
Broadcasting has started on July 26th, but don't worry: the two missed performances will be available once more in August.
You can find the programme and further details here:
bayreuther-festspiele.de/en/festspiele/news/2020/bayreuth-festival-2020-programme-goes-online-in-partnership-with-deutsche-grammophon/
4.90 euro/production
48 hours to listen after the scheduled time

...FOLK MUSIC, and South American music in particular:

It's a Zoom event, available to everyone registered.
August 2, 19-20:30 Msk time zone
As I get it, it's going to be two-in-one: a bit of talking (in SA Spanish) and then a concert (marimba).
The event organised by Centro Cultural Iberoamericano and Embajada del Ecuador-Rusia is in Spanish, but maybe (just maybe!) they'll say a few introductory words in Russian - don't be scared ;)

Updated:
I don't know why, but it seems that the link to the FB event doesn't work at the moment;
so I copy-pasted part of the description:
Presentación-concierto: «Marimba: música, ritmo y alegría del Ecuador», organizado por la Embajada de la República del Ecuador en la Federación Rusa.

...OLD MASTERS, and Jan van Eyck in particular.

The video is, perhaps, The (Euro)Polyglots' Delight ( ;) not mine):

(available to Aug, 6)

I was going to go to Ghent in March. I'd been planning this trip and dreaming of it for months - since I read about the upcoming exhibition in The Art Newspaper.
Predictably, in vain.
Even if someday in the future I visit Belgium and Ghent and see the altar, it won't be anything like that missed chance. It can't be. The exhibition held to celebrate the end of the years-long restoration works was unique, never to be duplicated.
First of all, I think they'll keep the altar doors closed most of the time - which is the right thing to do in terms of preservation, but...
Then, I'll never see it surrounded (in the next rooms?) by other contemporary works of art, borrowed from all over the world to set a fuller context.
It's a bit of sad.

Could you please just write the whole sentence in the thread title, please? This vagueness is not more attractive, just more annoying. This forum is not about clickbaits and false suspense, but more about sharing and learning. You either want to share (and therefore should proudly write opera in the title, to easily reach those of us interested in it), or you don't (and there is no point in posting).

edit:typo fixed
