Philipp wrote:I voted for La sombre del viento. I hope it's doable for me. It seems daunting: Over 500 pages and I just read someone's comment on Amazon that the book isn't an easy read. I should start now to get a headstart, but I'm still stuck in a Dan Brown novel.

I’ve only read it in English (and it was ... many years ago) but I do now own the Spanish copy. It definitely is long but it also has quite large font and margins! I don’t remember finding it a serious read in English (I do remember finding it very funny at times) but I suspect given how terrible my Spanish is, it’ll be a slow read for me. As long as you’re all willing to respond to my comments bit by bit, I should survive.

I will vote for the one and only book on this list available in Esperanto, Don Quixote.

Ah, no! Hopefully next month you can make some suggestions available in Esperanto.

Just a reminder that you have just under 24 hours to vote in the poll!

April’s book will be the Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. As I have said, it is very readable by my dated memory, but it is longer than the others so people may want to crack on with it. I won’t be able to start it til april so I will be a bit slow but am looking forward to discussing it.
