WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: Yes, English.

I'm changing to a half challenge in both languages. I just can't manage to talk that much and I find it too stressful trying to keep up/catch up. And really, I think even a half challenge is enough to make a significant difference. I've already noticed a difference and it's only February.

OK, got you booked in. 1/2 for German, 1/2 for Spanish, 1/2 for French and 1/2 for Japanese.

Those last two are for next year or the year after.

I'm a little late to the challenge, but I'd like to join anyway.

LANGUAGE: Italian and Polish

CHALLENGE: Full

CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: HAH! No idea. I'm all over the place in terms of output. Maybe ~B1 for both? I'm definitely much better in Italian than Polish, though.

WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: YES, American English.

I am going to focus on doing scriptorium and reading aloud articles and books to improve my accent. At some point, it would be nice to transition to writing journal entries and recording some off-the-cuff speaking, but I'm not going to commit to that. I'm hoping I'll spontaneously have an urge to start doing that at some point. I've been having a hard time doing anything with Italian other than watching TV, so I'm hoping this gives me a little motivation.

Question #1: How does this works with joining late? Do I need to try to cram 50 hours/50,000 words into ~10 months, or is my finish line extended? As of now, I'm planning to do the first option (50hrs/50,000 words in ~10 months)

Question #2: For the 50,000 words, are words like definite/indefinite articles counted?

Question #3: Does it count if I record myself reading the same thing multiple times? For example, I recorded myself reading an article today. Could I record myself reading the same article tomorrow or next month and count it again?

Sorry you'll have to cram it all into the remaining time. Just like NanoWriMo you do the numbers, regardless of the time.

All words count regardless of size.

You can record yourself recording the same word for 50 hours. It counts.

I decided to do a double Output Challenge for Italian and Polish. I've been trying to read out loud and do more writing/scriptorium in Polish more anyway, so I might as well make it official. I amended my original post above to reflect this change.

FYI you can count anything you've done since the 1st of January.
