Hello everybody!
I have completed the Challenge! I don't if that's the appropriate place to post this, but I'm really proud of myself. It was a wonderful experience and it really pushed my level of French! Thanks to the community that gave me the opportunity to participate! (look at me reacting like I have received an Oscar, lol!) It was just wonderful! I'm looking forward to doing the same for Spanish next year!
Good luck to everyone!

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
I had a thought this morning: with more and more people finding themselves stuck inside, what would people think about bringing the Super Challenge 2020-21 forward a month? We could start in April and end in November 2021 instead of December, or we could make it 21 months this time.
Argument against: change is bad, and we could all read and watch all we want during April anyway. Also, April is only 9 days away!
Counter argument: the challenge will focus our minds on something positive and enjoyable, and help us to form a good habit early in the isolation period.
Any thoughts?

I think it’s a great idea, but it depends on how easy it would be to set everything up. I don’t know what kind of adjustments would be needed to the bot and if anyone is available to do it.

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
Just thinking a bit more on it, it would be possible to start even if the bot wasn't ready. From what I remember the bot wasn't working for some of the first few weeks of the last challenge. We just kept notes of what we were doing and tweeted once it was working.

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
I've been thinking of that but I know that some people are planning their studies with the assumption that the SC starts in May so I decided not to suggest this
How about a challenge like the one you started in hmm was it April 2014? Basically any kind of explicit study prior to the challenge.

I do get that people have been planning for a May start, but we are in exceptional times. On the other hand, I was even thinking about a flexible option: those who want to start in April start in April and finish in November, and those who want to wait until May finish in December as originally planned.
I also thought back to the April 2014 challenge. In some ways that was good for some people, but actually with all this time I'd rather get started on the fun stuff!

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
How about a mini-super-challenge for 1 month? Basically, you need to average 5 films and 5 books per month to successfully complete the SC. So why not launch "The Super Challenge Prequel Challenge"?
5 books and 5 films, same rules as the SC, but you track it yourself?
