Language: French
Challenge: full for now
Current level: "false" beginner
Comments: I have followed threads both on this forum and also HTLAL for quite some time; and have been inspired and encouraged (esp. by Solfrid Cristin's example and posts) to undertake this challenge myself this time around. Thank-you everybody, your wonderful posts do make a difference.

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
Language: French
Challenge: Double
Current level: high B2
Comments, links: I've never tried a double challenge before, but at my current speed it seems feasible I'd like to reach C1 within 2018 and solidify what I already know.
Update 13.09.2018
Language: Italian
Challenge: Half
Current level: Atrophied to B2?
Language: Japanese
Challenge: Half
Current level: No idea. I passed the old JLPT 2kyu back in 2006, but that feels like a lifetime ago.
Comments, links: I want to work on reviving my Italian and Japanese throughout 2019. I may be a little too optimistic, but it is supposed to pose a challenge after all. I'm already 1/3 through the double challenge French so.. maybe? At 10 min and 6 pages/day it's still possible, and officially signing up for the challenge will hopefully keep me on track.
For Italian, I have a very specific goal: to read "I promessi sposi", but probably using an annotated version.
Update 29.12.2018
I would like to withdraw from the half challenge for Japanese that I signed up for. Three different languages are too much for me to handle right now.
----
I'm keeping track of my progress here (google doc) and in my log.

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
Language: German
Challenge: Half.
Current level: A1 - A bit of practice here and there and grew up with my mom scolding me in German, but effectively I'm probable mid-high A1.
Comments: Already enrolled in the Full Spanish challenge. Adding this on as well as I am enrolled in a German I class. First, I want to pass this class with an A+ as this is my final semester and that would be good for my GPA. Second, I want to get myself to a solid A2 level, and I think the combination of the class with this challenge would put me there. Once I get myself to C2 in Spanish, I want to tackle either German or Japanese, so it would be nice to give myself a solid foundation.

Re: Registration
Language: Spanish
Challenge: Full
Current level: A1 is an optimistic assessment.
Comments, links: No idea how well this will work, but I need to start accessing native materials or I will die.
Language: German
Challenge: Double
Current level: Who knows? Highish. B2+? C1?
Comments, links: I have been getting a bit lazy with German. A double challenge is a good way of keeping me on track.

Re: Super Challenge registration thread
I hereby register for the Super Challenge 2018/2019 committing to the following:
German (Full Challenge) (currently A2-B1) (it was my major in college but I've lost a lot)
Spanish (Full Challenge) (currently A1-A2) (I studied it in high school for 4 years and came out not being able to say much of anything)
More details and updates and quixotic aspirations can be found at my language log:

Re: Registration
Language: English
Challenge: full
Current level: intermediate
Comments, links: Films or books, there are plenty of resources in English, so it's the choice which may be difficult!
Books: I've created an account on Goodreads for this challenge. I like reading, even in English, and I'm confident that I can achieve this goal.
Films: I think I'll mainly watch series and documentaries. I've never watched Twin Peaks, Downtow Abbey or Mad Men, it's an opportunity.
