Re: Output Challenge 2018 Registration and Discussion
Just to clarify, is it possible to register for a half hallenge in both areas, i.e., 25k words and 25 hours of audio? I ask because I seem to remember it was allowed some years ago, but I'm not sure it still is.

CHALLENGE: Writing only
CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: Probably B1, or so.
WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: I'm going to say no, just because I did it too many times and I felt like I wasn't being helped on my language learning.
COMMENTS: Hopefully I make some progress throughout the year.

Re: Output Challenge 2018 Registration and Discussion
LANGUAGE: French and Spanish
CHALLENGE: Half and half (25/25 each)
CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: French C2, Spanish B2ish?
WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: Yes - Czech. The amount of stuff I can correct depends on my free time and I cannot tell you how much I'll have. But when I do, I'll to provide as useful corrections as possible. But there may be no Czech learner joining this challenge anyways.
COMMENTS:
1.French-I need maintenance, Spanish-I need to improve.
2.I don't know whether I'll post stuff anywhere for corrections. Perhaps a bit from time to time, but not constantly. Why: For speaking, I want to record a personal journal. And that is extremely likely to include stuff I don't want to present publicly. For writing, I would like to connect this with something I tried in past but never really had the time and motivation for: creative writing. That means majority of my writing will be short stories, perhaps longer (if I improve). And that implies a lot more self-doubt, so public presentation is not that likely.

Re: Output Challenge 2018 Registration and Discussion
LANGUAGE: French
CHALLENGE: Full, audio and writing
CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: Speaking maybe A2 and writing maybe B1
WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: Yes, Norwegian
COMMENTS: I would probably have made it last year if I had only put in the same effort throughout the year as I did in January and December For the audio part, I have been reading aloud from easy readers at B1 level, following the pattern reading-listening-reading for each chapter. I found this very useful, so I'll keep on doing that. It's also useful because I know exacly what I'm supposed to do, which makes it easier to do a little every day. For writing, I'm going to write summaries of what I read for my history and literature courses. If I can pull myself together, I'll do speaking versions of that as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LANGUAGE: Russian
CHALLENGE: Half, audio and writing
CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: Active skills are probably A1
COMMENTS: While I register for French with sincere hopes of completing the challenge, Russian is all about getting started, and we'll see how it goes. I'll start out using my course book, reading the texts aloud and doing the "creative writing" exercises included in each chapter.
