I think I should try the Output Challenge 2018.
Is that ok for this challenge if I am active some months and not active the other?? :D

The output challenge is very relaxed. :)

The object is to get to the end, it doesn't matter if you do it 140 words a day, or if you do all of it two days before the end.

I'm not sure how uncommon it is now, but when forums were more popular you'd definitely use the term flooding if someone were to spam them with a lot of posts.

I thought the same but all the definitions I could find online relate to chatrooms specifically. I also searched the old forum now and saw only 20 hits for flooding, only one of which was in the meaning we're discussing. Maybe the search is buggy but still...

I think the main distinction is that to Russians (and presumably some others) it sounds weird to call it spamming if you're not specifically advertising anything, but just boosting your post count or nitpicking etc. As your post shows, in English spamming has gained a broader meaning.
