Signed up for Greek. I've been studying Greek on and off for a while. I need to work on grammar (mainly conjugations). I'll be using grammar books and Assimil. Let's how it works

Sounds fun! I've signed up with Japanese Hoping the challenge will give me an extra push to try out some of the language learning ideas I've been thinking about.

Of course, I had to get sick yesterday, so I’m starting the challenge with a cold and a headache, but I’m in for German. Yes, again. I know I keep saying it’s my last time with German because “surely by next time my German will be too good.” Eventually, that will be true — by next time, for sure.

Hmmm ... I have sent three tweets this morning and the bot has not responded. It seems like it is responding to other people. I've contacted the contact person listed on the challenge page.

Okay, I'm officially withdrawing from this challenge.

It was a fun game until the Bot stopped responding to me (and only me, apparently) today. Now I'm just aggravated.

If you change it to Date, looks like the bot is working just fine.

I was at 20 hours for the target language and 38 hours overall last night. After posting four hours of activity this morning, the leaderboard hasn't changed. So something is wrong. If the bot doesn't respond when the rank doesn't change, that's fine. But the total on the leaderboard should change, and it hasn't.


Edit:

1. I sent another four tweets with four hours of activity -- no change to my totals.
2. In the meantime the bot responded to reineke's tweet, saying that reineke is #1 ... which is an unchanged rank. So the theory that the bot only responds to changed rank is not correct.
3. If it was working, we would now seem time allocated to me for November 7 (GMT I suppose). Other people have time allocated for the 7th. But not me.

Anyway, for people that the Bot doesn't betray ... have fun. For me ... grrr, waste of time. When the Bot hates you, there's nothing you can do.

The Challenge page is maintained by @GermanPolyglot as well. All I can do is, once I realised that you used the wrong contact info, I gave you the latest info rightaway, and I added it in the OP of this thread rightaway. In case you think I'm hiding information, you know, again

Have you tried varying the way you phrase your tweets? I have had issues with the bot failing to respond to me in the past few challenges but I've found it starts working again for me if I try to make sure my tweets aren't too repetitive.
