So far, I've only written ~5000 words, which isn't too bad considering that I started three months late, but I think I'd just give in and try again next year with German, in which I'm at a shaky B2 level, and such a challenge might be exactly what I need to "consolidate" my B2-level proficiency.

5K words is brilliant! Don't beat yourself up about it. The challenge is there to help you progress not to freak you out about numbers, etc. If you're improving then that is what counts isn't it?

Hi, rdearman. Is it too late to join? I've recently decided to push myself to output more as I know I'm at a stage to do so, but being shy about speaking to strangers online held me back. I feel this will be a safe and familiar place to start doing so :D

I know the requirements are intense, but I'll do my best.

Thank you!

I have worked out that I need to write 300 words and record 36 minutes of audio every day in order to complete the challenge by the end of the year. I think that is doable! I did a particularly long audio recording today (of about an hour and a half) so that'll help!

Keep at it everyone! Even if you don't reach the goal, I think you should still try to do a bit each day and keep track of it to see how much you have done at the end of the year.

Take comfort in the fact that you're all a lot further along than I am! Well done everyone, for even trying :)

It is never to late to join! I encourage you to try to do some output even if it is only a little bit or a couple of sentences. I'd never exclude anyone for stepping up to the challenge! But... what language are you going to do? And are you doing the full audio/video & written, or just written, or just audio?

:)

I figured since I'd done a video for the output challenge, and emk has enabled youtube, I'd link to my Output Challenge Video. It is a recipe and instructions for making Arancini (Deep Fried Rice Balls). If you haven't ever had them I really recommend trying it. My kids love them!

On youtube it has captions in both English & Italian, don't know if that will work in the embedded video.

Oooh, they look delicious. Too bad I'm lactose intolerant. I guess they would still be tasty without the cheese though...

What a great idea for a video, and it was really well done. Also, the captions/subtitles work perfectly.

Meat only ones are good too. I've run out of mozzarella before!
