I'm doing pretty well I think, making good progress with my Russian! On the formal side I've kept up with my daily Assimil - 1/3 done, Duolingo - 60% done and Clozemaster. I'm mostly spending my time doing intensive reading now. Still tough, but rewarding - I've read more than 60 pages of a book for adults! Phew, that's about 1% of my first Russian Super Challenge done :D Native content though, that's such a step forward! I have to admit that I'm feeling pretty good about myself 8-)

I stopped recording my time to the bot. :/ It's a recurring stumbling block for me, not wanting to double-track my study time. I already track everything in the ATracker app on my phone.

Twitter seems to be taking a couple of hours to update right now--hope it doesn't go down again.

Edit: 6WCBot is accepting other people's tweets, but not mine. I've done nothing different--just retweeted them and the same thing. Advice?

Radioclare had the same problem not long ago. I think it took her three tries to get her tweets through. If you're still having trouble, you could contact Judith @GermanPolyglot

I had the same problem recently. I have the impression that Twitter doesn't like it if it thinks you are sending too many similar tweets. For a period last week, none of my French tweets would be registered, and some others as well. What I did, eventually, was to write them out a bit more (like @6WCBot will you please please note that I studied some #french today, etc) and change the order of the elements. This solved the problem for me.

Thank you Mista--I re-tweeted and changed the wording and it finally took.

I just came back from a 2-week surgery + hospital + stay with family. I had brought 7 language books with me and had spent hours uploading decks to Quizlet and mp3's to my mp3-player. I thought I would study 8 hours a day for 2 weeks and then win this 6WC.

End up I clocked only 253 minutes in total, and then only 68 minutes of that was real "study" :roll: I just lazed about and did next to nothing for 2 weeks :oops: Did recover really well, at least :roll:

And that's exactly what you were supposed to do! I wish you a speedy recovery!

Congratulations to our winners in this challenge and to everyone who took part! I was elated to be in bronze medal position for target language at the end of the challenge (and thought it was in the bag, given that the Hawaiian time zone is GMT -10 hours), but was sad to discover I'd fallen to 4th position the next morning. :( Never mind...the important thing is I levelled up from a complete beginner to a low intermediate signer in New Zealand Sign Language, and I look forward to continuing my studies over the rest of the year (although at a far more relaxed rate).

@smallwhite
Glad to hear you're feeling more recovered now, smallwhite. Ditto on what blaurebell said above (and you can look forward to diving into those 7 books later). :)
