Hope everyone's output challenge is going well so far! My output is seriously behind, so it's time for a May mini-challenge...

The Challenge
Use the prompts in this thread to write/record as many stories as you can about Tom, the hero of Clozemaster. Tom has a pretty varied life, so hopefully you can find some prompts which inspire you to write prequels or sequels to the Clozemaster sentences.

If you use Clozemaster or another SRS which features Tom, please do post any fun sentences you come across to the thread so that we have as many prompts as possible to choose from :)

LANGUAGE: German

CHALLENGE: Full challenge

CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: C1

WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: Sure, why not? My native language is English.

COMMENTS: Like I need another challenge in my life! ;) But though my German is still improving (I can see it over long periods of time), I have to actively work on these skills or they do not progress. And I'm bad at practising speaking. Let's hope this helps--should do!

I failed miserably at this, but I think my Spanish is finally getting to a level where I might have a chance next year. Will there be a 2018 Output Challenge?

There will be an output challenge, and I want to try and get more prompts and things for people who are participating. We normally start on Jan 1st. and I was wondering if the challenge is too difficult? We've not had many winners? Also I should take a little time and get a Output Challenge bot up and running, but I'm a bit lazy, so probably won't.

We have a couple of days before the official start anyone want to raise or lower the goals? 2017 was a 50% drop in requirements from the 2016 challenge to win. Is it still to high?
  • 50,000 words or 1 nanowrimo novel
  • 50 hours of recorded speech (only minutes where you are speaking count)
  • You can only sign-up for one language at a time.

Let me know your thoughts before we kick-off the new year.

I will be starting a thread of output prompts. Thinking at least 2 prompts per week and more depending on inspiration. Will suit any level. But will just be prompts, no challenge, because I don't believe in maximising hours spent and words written - I believe in minimising effort!
