Bah, I made the "mistake" of looking over last year's incomplete NaNo draft and now I'm really wanting to work on it again (which is not strictly part of the normal rules but is still officially welcome as a "rebel").
So I may be writing in English after all.

Or you can just work on that one in December...

That would mean forgoing sleep. And ain't nobody wants a sleep-deprived Arthaey around, trust me.

This suggestion, on the other hand, I like quite a bit! That way I'm not abandoning the seed of an idea I'd started to develop for my Spanish story, I'm merely postponing it one month. And I bet some folks here may join late…

I posted on the NaNo forums, linked back to this thread... No backing out now, or the internet will shame me...
Quick, someone, what should I write?!

Re: NaNoWriMo (writing a novel from November 1-30)
OK, I've gone and signed up, (actually just logged back in) and realised I've been doing this for 10 years.
Anyway, still don't have a plot or a story, which I think will be more of a problem with doing this in a TL. Pantsing a story (off the cuff writing for non-nanowrimo's) would be more difficult in a TL, because I'll need to spend more time on the mechanics of writing as opposed the creative portion. So I have two weeks to come up with a story, and do an outline. I want to do something which is not genre specific, e.g. not sci-fi or mystery, etc. I also want it to be read by my 80 year old hyper-religious French neighbour, so no violence or sex, etc. I did briefly consider a fairytale, but I think I would prefer something like the writings of British writer Mark Haddon.Who wrote; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and A Spot of Bother.
Going through all the forums on nanowrimo looking at plot adoption threads was a waste of time, since everyone seems to be writing Werewolf or Vampire stories again...
