I did wonder about my conjugation drill cards.

Deck: Present tense
Front: I run
Front: He runs
Front: We run
Front: They run

etc. They're more drill prompts than vocabulary or knowledge flashcards.

If it has an L2 somewhere on the front or back of the card, I would say it is a card. It doesn't matter if it is the reverse of another card or a different MCD of the same sentence.
If you've done the card at least once, and it isn't due on Dec 31, 2017, or 20 full months after you start, you have met the challenge.
If I'm 1000 cards short on Dec 31 next year, and I review each of those cards that day, so that they are due Jan 1, I've met the challenge.
I'd like to keep it open and simple. People are free to hold themselves to higher standards.

Ahh, this is good to see. There no way I'm able to stick to SRS for over 10k cards. Personal goal will be between 2k and 3k. Will there be 2 threads for this challenge like the super challenge or are we sticking to chatting about it on this one?

I'll do it in conjunction with the Super Challenge for the Italian books I read. I downloaded Anki this weekend but I'm not yet convinced it's for me. I probably just need to spend a little more time with it. I started a private course on memrise so I may end up going with that.

I'm considering taking part in this challenge - test language will be Cantonese (I've flirted with it before, and some days ago I decided on a whim to give it a half-serious try). My main source is FSI Cantonese, which however doesn't have characters - everything is in Yale. So, assuming I find an efficient way to add the words/sentences/drills as pure Hanzi, I'm in. By 1 May 2016 I will have done most of the lessons from volume 1, so doing the SRS reps will be easier than if I had seen the content for the first time.

Wow! I was not expecting this! This is what I'm doing at the moment. I won't be part of the challenge, as I started over 6 months ago, but I'll watch your progress with interest. :)

You could just continue with your current deck and just announce when you get to 10 000 cards or when you have finished 10 000 cards. Feel free to join the discussion. The challenge is for you.

I wanted to join us but when I when I counted my polish SRS cards, I found that I have already 9238 mature sentence cards. So no game for me. I plan to expend the time watching Polish TV and improving my listening. I just need to figure out a good internet TV service to watch Polish TV at home. I have big trees around the house which would stop sky signals, otherwise I would be using a satellite provider.

Awesome deck of mature cards, lusan!
How long did it take you to do it?
What effects did doing it have?

I'm in for this along with the Super Challenge. Anki has been one of my biggest tools lately.
