The first level is A1 (not that you have to follow CEFR or anything)

I am aware of this. I only wanted to emphasize that I'm a complete noob because I just started learning Russian yesterday :)

Sure, if you want to call being addicted to a silly Mexican telenovela "working."

Today is the 26th day of the Challenge so about 62% done. Are you happy with your scores? Are you taking advantage of the fancy charts?

I'm glad to see that I'm doing a good balance of activities in Swedish, with reading:vocab:oral:listening activities in the ratio 33:32:21:14. I've actually done more listening than that, just that its minutes get discounted.

On the other hand, I'm not happy about how my daily totals fluctuate so much. I hope to improve that in the next 3 weeks.

Unfortunately I took a week off due to school and work so my score isn't where I want it. I'm trying to get 60-90 minutes of studying in when I can.

I'm mostly watching videos on YouTube.

This was my first time participating in a 6WC and now I know what to expect and what goals to set next time. I'd like to study 60-90 minutes a day and try to get into the top ten.

The February 6WC is over. To our 29 participants - well done!

I finished in 5th place overall, one of my usual positions, and 13th place in target language, Italian. Similar to our Wanderlust team members, whenever I sign up with one language, I get a sudden urge to study another language. How can one not be tempted by Swedish? I don't regret it at all, though, as I feel I'm now quite balanced in all 4 skills in Swedish, and that's part of my 2016 Resolution.

I've recently changed the way I do my Memrise reps. I find Memrise's scheduling too frequent (multiplier 2) and last for too long (forever, with max interval 180 days). I can't adjust Memrise so I adjust myself, by not doing reps promptly as they fall due, and by deleting mature decks but keeping harder cards. That has reduced the time I spend on doing reps, and it reflects in my 6WC stats.

Problem is, my rep time is often just my down time, my relaxing time, my smartphone time; that I do less reps doesn't mean I can then study more grammar instead. End up, I've been doing less reps, and reading every single reply on this forum promptly as they get posted. I wonder which activity is better for my language-learning.
