AI6WC: 3rd run, June 2023

Postby badger » Wed Jun 14, 2023 4:04 am

dates: 16.6.2023-27.7.2023

Cavesa's excellent idea is described here: AI6WC-a new challenge experiment
1st run thread: AI6WC: 1st run, December 2022
2nd run thread: AI6WC: 2nd run, March 2023

This is the "follow up" challenge for those, who are not entirely (or not at all) fitting into the wonderful 6WC!

The RULES:

1. participants: Anyone estimating their level at least in some skills as above B1. Strong B1 minimum, sky is the upper limit. You can participate with only one language, at least this time. Please sign up in this thread indicating your language or choice.

Logs are encouraged (no need for new ones for the challenge), and behaviour is to be up to the LLORG standards. This is a friendly competition :-)

2.activities that count, keywords in capital letters:
intensive READING
intensive LISTENING
COURSEBOOK, =textbook (whichever word you are culturally used to), workbook, or a digital equivalent of either SRS
WRITING practice
SPEAKING practice

3.keeping track
Post daily, or at least from time to time so people can see each other's progress, & then again at the end with your total & I will produce a leaderboard.

Merry learning!

Ok, I'm here, finally. I'll be doing Russian, as I have an exam in August to study for. They claim that when I have done that exam, I will be around B1. I also did Russian for the last 6WC, so it's a bit borderline. But I really need to study for that exam. I'm also doing Russian for the July vocabulary challenge.

I was back home from a week's vacation in Ireland on Monday (where I took a break from Russian to see if I could learn how to pronounce Irish) and picked up studying Russian again then, but I also had to speed-write a term paper that was due today, so I've only been doing my regular half hour of Drops so far. But I hope to pick up speed from now on.

I remember a childhood holiday in France where I nagged my dad to translate a Robin Hood comic for me :-) Hope the weather is good, and the locals are friendly :-)
