Spanish/German team log TAC 2016

Postby Brun Ugle » Tue Jan 05, 2016 7:31 am

Cavesa seems to be a little busy offline, but she said I could start the team log if I wanted, so I will.

This is the team log of the Spanish/German team. The original idea was to make a fairly small team and to have a rather intense year with lots of participation and output. Writing in the team log in the target languages is therefore encouraged, but English is OK too if you don’t feel up to it sometimes.

First a little business:
1. Do we need a cool name? If so, what should it be?
2. Since we wanted a small team, should we close the team to new members? Or should we allow new members under certain circumstances?
3. Check that your log is correctly linked in the list of members.
4. If you have some great resources to link to, let me know and I’ll add them to the resources page.
5. Are there any rules we should have?
6. How about monthly challenges? Any ideas?

I think for the January challenge, we’ll keep it simple and voluntary:
1. Figure out your goals and plans for the year to the extent that you like making goals and plans.
2. Try to make some sort of recording of yourself speaking each target language. You can decide what to talk about and maybe jot down a few keywords ahead of time, but don’t write down a whole speech and memorize it or read it. Just talk freely and naturally to get a good measure of your present abilities. This is so that you can do it again at the end of the year and have a measure of progress. You don’t have to share.

I'll be lurking here, but not spending any time beside this forum itself on my German this year. Gut Suerte! ;)

Buena Glück an euch alle!

Cavesa and I are starting a couple of joint study projects together -- doing level B of Gramática de uso del español, and reading Tintenherz. And that got me to thinking that maybe there is some activity we could all do as group. With only five of us, we should have some chance of finding something everyone could do. Perhaps a TV series we could see on YouTube or something?

Alguna en youtube or on rtve.es.

All corrections are welcome, especially my German sucks for now :-)

Thanks for setting the thread up, Brun Ugle!

Solo he visto los tres primeros episodios de Águila Roja.
