Re: German TAC 2016
Wir sind Krank gewesen. We're on the mend, so hopefully I can post something longer tomorrow. Meanwhile, how's everyone doing with their German?

Re: German TAC 2016
I thought I was on the mend, then I wasn't, but now I'm feeling better. I hope everyone is doing okay.
Has everyone had a chance to vote in Via Diva's naming poll?
So it sounds like reading and writing German is a goal for some of you. That's something I would like to tackle this year as well. With that in mind, what kinds of challenges would be useful to you? I could make stuff up, but that only helps if it really works for you. We could tackle a challenge like reading x number of words or pages for example. We could have a challenge for writing x number of words or... ? What would you like to do? What would you find helpful?
Also, what kinds of resources do you use for learning German? Please list what you can so I can fill out the resources post.
I'm going to mention something my husband reminded me about - iBooks. More specifically, in my case, free books through Apple's iBooks store. I set up an account for Germany, no credit card attached. If anyone needs instructions on how to do that, please let me know and I'll post them here. Then, logged into the German account on my device, I searched for free books and found quite a lot. I'm starting with kids books because that's about the right level for me, but you can find just about anything on there, including science fiction and fantasy. I'll tackle those later... But meanwhile, I have a great source for books that are at a reasonable level for me. I imagine that Amazon has plenty of free ebooks in German, as would Google Play or other such sites that sell ebooks.
I also watch Backyardigans - again, yes, for kids, but I'm okay with that. Found that on Youtube.

Situation so far:
Last year we tried writing some fiction even, but I guess better save that for next months :) Also a good idea is collaborative writing, but there weren't enough people interested in it.

Re: German TAC 2016
I would like it to be, but it won't really work if there isn't enough participation.
