Welcome :)
To clarify, it's not required to create a separate shelf for the challenge. I personally already had one for various collections (including poetry, which doesn't count).

Done with "Cień".
Starting "Nocne Motyle" by Karol Sander. It has 3670 words.

I found a site of very very short stories. I will read from it but they will not be included in the short stories challenge because they are too shorts.

Serpent, I'm in.

So just update every time I finish a story, correct? Any need to create a file or a specific post for this, like the super challenge? I'm sorry, checking forum on break, so didn't go through the whole thread.

up to you, but i'm not keeping track of how many stories everyone has read :) so if you want stats, you have to keep them yourself, by whichever way you prefer. otherwise just read and report (not necessarily every week). good luck!

Quick update: I've already met my original goal of reading 5 short stories in French in 2016, so I've increased my goal to 20 books by the end of the year! As for my other chosen languages in this challenge (German, Russian, and Hawaiian), most of the materials I have to hand are considerably longer than a "short story", so I'll just keep my goal for each language at 5 books for now and endeavour to complete them.

Same here. I've already read my 5 in Irish, though I don't know if I'm going to increase it. I think I might take a break from short stories after I finish my current collection, focusing instead on either a biography I bought myself for Leabhra Feabhra, or a collection of folk tales from a similar dialect to the one I want to focus on, complete with annotations explaining things!
