Current level: C1
Comments, links: Suddenly realised it’s almost May and I haven’t been here in a while. I’ve still been learning languages, honest! Going to start with German; will add Spanish if I complete that (or sooner I guess, knowing me).
Language: Spanish
Challenge: full
Current level: A2/B1?
Comments, links: Yeah, scratch that; was going to wait to add Spanish but I want to get some practice in before going to the Polyglot Gathering (and in general; I've been neglecting it of late) and just like counting stuff.

Current level: I'd still call myself advanced, but I'm a bit rusty. If I were prepping for an exam - which I'm not - it would be C1.

Re: 2022/23 Super Challenge Registration Thread
Language: Serbocroatian
Challenge: Half
Current level: weak B2
Comments, links: I noticed that languages are much easier to forget if you haven't done extensive reading/watching, so I'm using this challenge in order to consolidate my Serbocroatian and hopefully reach C1 (at least comprehension). The biggest challenge (and biggest reward) will be finding enough interesting material. If you can recommend some, please write me!
Language: Greek
Challenge: Half
Current level: C2
Comments, links: I would like to do more reading and watching in Greek, especially watching more non-political material because I've watched plenty of political stuff and my biggest weakness is slang.

Re: 2022/23 Super Challenge Registration Thread
Ok, so like last year, I have NO HOPES AND NO INTENTIONS of completing all this. But I hope to complete some of them, and to make some decent progress with most of them. The bottom four are hopeless projects even on their own, so they are there just for logging purposes. The other ones are doable individually, so I may complete any one of them, but definitely not all of them.

Re: 2022/23 Super Challenge Registration Thread
I'm confident I can pull it off in Japanese or at least get pretty far. I'll try to at least finish the films in Korean. As for the rest, I'll have to see.

Re: 2022/23 Super Challenge Registration Thread
Language: Danish
Challenge: Full
Current Level: B2? I think that my reading is close to C1.
I'm still dependent on Danish subtitles if I want full comprehension, and would like to move beyond that.
Language: Dutch
Challenge: Full
Current Level: Perpetual A2
I think I have only ever watched one Dutch film. I usually just watch short things on YouTube, and I am excited about making the shift.

Re: 2022/23 Super Challenge Registration Thread
First time giving this a go and looking forward to it! I'll be tracking my progress offline using the excellent spreadsheet from Jeffers
Language: Hindi
Challenge: Full
Current Level: B1?
This will be my main focus. Trying to push into the upper intermediate range. Still trying to collect reading resources, but have started slowly chugging my way through Premchand's Gaban (with lots and lots of lookups in LWT). Might need to go for slightly easier content in the beginning if I want to achieve the final goal... Assuming the films part will be a little easier as there are oodles of TV/movies available online.
Language: Spanish
Challenge: Half
Current Level: B2-C1
Doing this for maintenance. Mostly extensive reading with occasional lookups on Kindle. Am on the lookout for shows/films I might want to watch as I finish the excellent show Los Simuladores.
Was tempted to add in a challenge for my increasingly rusty Portuguese, but don't want to be too ambitious my first time around I might decide to change the Spanish one to a Romance family if I change my mind, but for now the plan is to chug along with these two
