By upper intermediate, I mean a person who:
- - can relax with a Spanish novel
- - can easily follow the news in Spanish, and can comfortably follow a TV show or movie without subtitles
- - can engage in conversations exclusively in Spanish, without strain for either speaker or listener (although, of course, they may not always be as eloquent as they'd like)
Basically, when I say upper intermediate, I mean somewhere around a B2 level on the CEFR scale. Advanced would be C1. Our needs are very different from beginner learners, especially once we find ourselves on the interminable plateau between B2 and C1.
Personally, I think that with a little bit of writing practice, I could very confidently sit a B2 exam. I would like to bump my level up to C1.
If there are enough of us interested, I'd be willing to lead a team! If there are just a few people, then maybe we could just have a more casual partnership for motivation and support.
