In answer to the original question, yes, I'm taking part in a challenge now called the Language Reading Challenge here: http://eurolinguiste.com/language-learn ... challenge/
I only found the challenge last month, for which I read John McWhorter's The Language Hoax. This month I'm finishing (hopefully) Kolker's Vojagxo en Esperanto-lando. Next month is a book written by a language blogger, which I think is just an excuse to up sales on certain books so I'll probably just credit a past read (Benny's book probably) and skip.

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

Thanks for posting that. Considering I have already by chance completed 5/12, and that I just signed up for a Danish Super Challenge, I might be able to do this one without much planning

Re: Reading challenges (including L1)
Reading was my 1st love (my L1 you could say ) before even languages so I already read a lot in English, but with the Super Challenge I'm hoping to expand that!! I've read a ton of books on language/linguistics recently and now am pretty much focused on only reading in my L2s so feel free to follow me on Goodreads for any book recs!!! . My goal for this year is 100 books, which I've been doing well on so far but reading mostly in L2's might slow me down
