We're now in December and I haven't seen any talk about next year's TAC so I was wondering : Isn't there going to be one next year?
This year was a bit difficult with all the problems with the old forum and we lost a number of members or teams got scatered.
This will be our first year on this new (better) version of HTLAL and I believe we could set a great first edition !
Will it be put in place ? Who's up for taking part in it?
Edit: added vote system
TAC 2016 ?

I hope there will be a team rare
Oh right! My bad
I've been quickly over the thread and as a result, I've put a vote in this thread. It'll be easier to see a proper answer from everybody
I personnally liked the TAC spirit and camaraderie of it. It's true that each year, some teams are loving it and some others aren't but I've seen this change over the years. The advantages and bad points mentionned on the other thread sure explain better than I could ever do, but one thing, for the community, which sticks out in my mind is the fact that it attracts new members.
Of course, there's also the advantage of pushing a bit those having troubles to motivate themselves as well as having team members with whom exchange.
In any case, I personnally would prefer a TAC happening but wouldn't mind too much if it just ends up being language-related team logs only, without the idea of "challenge". Also, if we decide to go for it but people want it a bit different, in order to show a proper change, a new leaf, we could change the name! I'm very bad with stuff like this, but stuff like CIT (Challenge It Together ) or something to show more clearly the idea of team, wouldn't be so bad
PS: If the TAC is indeed renewed in any form, I wouldn't mind taking the role of Team Leader for an East-Asian Team (or even just Asian team btw )

Yeah, I was thinking about starting a signup thread soon, but since the general response on the other thread has been so lukewarm, I wasn't sure. However, maybe I should just start the signup and see what happens. Maybe people will start joining in when they see we're starting for real.

Re: TAC 2016 ?
I'm in regardless how the challenge will be called, I think planning a year and studying among friends are two quite positive aspects. It used to be much more fun when most of the teams were active.
Thank you for opening this thread Yuhakko, I'm sure we could have a great East Asian Team next year.
