Output Challenge 2016 Registration Thread

I am not a big fan of quantitative challenges, but on the other hand I do need to "get a grip", stop procrastinating and work a lot more on my Russian writing skills. So after much toing and froing I've decided to sign up to this challenge, and then we'll see how it goes.

LANGUAGE: Russian

CHALLENGE: Writing only (I just don't like listening to my own voice )

CURRENT LANGUAGE LEVEL: B1

WILLING TO CORRECT LANGUAGE: Yes - Norwegian

COMMENTS: I'll most likely seek corrections on Lang-8, which I haven't visited in a long time. And even if I just manage to do 1/2 of the target of 500.000 words, it will still be worthwhile.

Don't kill yourself! The target is only 50.000 not 500.000!

People are complaining about 50 thousand, and you're planning on 1/2 a million.

Apparently a novel of "ordinary" length has between 80.000 and 90.000 words. Managing to write five or six novels in Russian in a year, that would really be something.

Don't know if it is a typing error or not, but it is only fifty thousand words, not five hundred thousand

COMMENTS: I'm hoping I can stick with this for the entire year. It'll be a challenge, but I'll try. Even if I don't complete it though, it won't be a waste of time.

Just to clarify (for myself and for others) the 50,000 words don't have to be fiction! Anything you write is included - messages, log posts, poetry attempts.

In my total I also included some text written as coursework, although I was selective, and only included the texts I had to write from scratch. This is where clarification for myself comes in: was that okay? Also, I recall someone being given the okay for scriptorium being included in their challenge numbers, but I can't remember if this was for speaking or writing, and I can't find it anywhere
