As much as I'd hate to jump on the drop-off train, I feel it would be better served for me to step away from the contest. I have some big stuff on the horizon, and need the flexibility right now.
Final score: 37

Ciao! I would like to transition from Generic to Italian for 2021. So far, every single day since the beginning of the challenge was dedicated 100% to Italian, so there is no need to adjust the score in any way. Thank you!PeterMollenburg wrote:6. There is no penalty for adding or removing languages with the generic option of study either.
7. Please announce any changes to your list of languages (including those who study using the generic option)
8. If you want to change from generic study to individual languages, you must do your best to calculate, honestly, roughly how much time you spent up to the date of change studying each language and convert it to individual scores.

Hi peoples, while updating the March Leaderboard in the scoring thread, I decided to also updated the List of Competitors to reflect both active and non-active (those who have not reported their scores at least recently) competitors. That list can be found on page one of both the 365 Day Challenge Scoring thread as well as this thread.

Re: The 2021 365 Day Challenge - Rules, Sign Up and Discussion
I'm back in the challenge from June 1st with French. I cannot easily work out how many days I've missed in the last six months of French without complete guesswork, so I'll just start from June 1st, know what I'm sayin' when I'm sayin' it?

Is that ligit? Aren't you like already negative ten billion points? (The scoring system never made sense to me.)

It's legit. I'm starting tomorrow (June 1st), so what's occured up to now in the last six months is irrelevant since tomorrow is my start date.
Thus, my current score is 0.
I won't be trying to win, obviously. It's about keeping me in check on my French improvement mission for the rest of the year.
Scoring with the old challenge was a bit tricky. However, with this challenge 1 day = 1 day (or point). You miss a day, you lose a day (or point). Had I decided to back date my start date to Jan 1st this year knowing for certain that I'd missed 20 days of the 151 so far, I'd be sitting on a score of 131. Since I can't confirm my missed days, I'll just start with a clean slate from June 1st.

I'm withdrawing from the challenge. I actually withdrew a while ago but I didn't tell myself.
Final score: Generic ~30 days out of many more than 30.
